Thomas R. Aaron, 85, Russiaville, peacefully passed away at 9:47 am on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at his home in Russiaville. He was born on November 17, 1930, to William H. & Helen (Deweese) Aaron. On September 17, 1952, he married the love of his life, Carolyn S. Yard and she survives.

Tom served with the United States Army from 1951~1953 in Alaska (Big Delta-Arctic Test Branch) with the I-Company, 3rd Bn, 4th Infantry. He started his working career in Kokomo at Kingston then Dirilyte Co. until 1971. Thomas then retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1990. He loved life and his family and enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, hiking, photography, and watching his favorite western shows and movies.

Tom is survived by his wife Carol and 3 children, Thomas (Judy) Aaron, Mary Alger, both of Kokomo, And William (Joni) Aaron of Greenwood; 8 grandchildren, Christopher, John, Amanda, Andrew, Steven, Carolyn, Clint and Kristin, along with 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elma Rose "Tootie" Harner, and June Kay Akers; brothers, Norman Aaron and Jim (Barb) Aaron, and sister-in-law, Ruth Aaron.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Imogene Bogue, and brothers, William, Carl, Dan, and Larry.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 18, 2016, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Chaplin Richard Birden officiating. Burial will follow in New London Cemetery.
