GARDNER, Hazel Belle Harris
Death of Mrs. James P. Gardner, (Hazel Belle Harris), daughter of Charles F. and Alice Harris was born near Lake Union, Missouri, June 30, 1894, and died at her home in Ramona, Oklahoma, February 3, 1933, aged 38 years 7 months, 4 days.
In 1908, she was converted and joined the Methodist Church and remained firm and faithful to her belief until the end.
She was married to James P. Gardner, March 22, 1911. They were the parents of two sons, Orville and Roy, both of whom are at home with their father.
Besides these three dear ones, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Alice Harris' five sisters, Mrs. Lula Gardner of Wellston, Mrs. Letah Gardner of Fallis, Mrs. Floy Gardner of Wellston, Mrs. Nola Critchfield of Nowata, Mrs. Vera Harney of Dewey; and three brothers, Elmer Harris of Wellston, Dewey and Guy Harris of Dewey, Oklahoma. Two sisters and her father preceded her to the heavenly home.
The family moved to Ramona about seven years ago although confined to her home for the past two and one half years, most of this time confined to her bed. Her patience, cheerfulness and thoughtfulness endeared her to all and she will be greatly missed.
The funeral services were held in the Baptist Church Sunday evening at 2:00 o'clock p.m., February 5th. A large crowd attended the funeral services. Rev. L. L. Hughes, pastor of the Friends Church preached the funeral sermon from the text John 11:28, The Master is come and calleth for Thee'. Rev. Jackson, Pastor of the Baptist Church assisted the funeral service.
Mrs. Gardner will be greatly missed as she had a host of friends and loved ones to mourn her departure.
A flower has faded from the earth to blossom in Heaven throughout eternity. February 10, 1933
