Russell Kent "Rusty" Sanders, age 53 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in Harrison.

The son of Luther "Woody" Sanders and Mava (Gray) Baker was born on March 6, 1963 in Nevada, Missouri.

Rusty enjoyed hunting, fishing and grilling. He was a professional mushroom hunter and loved kids.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Cisco Gray and Mayme and Luther Sanders; one infant baby Sanders; and his father-in-law, Skip Bright.

He is survived by his wife, Lana Sanders of the home; one son, Hunter Sanders of Harrison; one daughter, Lexi Sanders of Harrison; his parents, Woody Sanders of Harrison and Mava Baker and husband Paul of Harrison; 2 brothers, Jeff Sanders and wife Taesha of Harrison and Joel Baker and wife Juanita of Blue Eye, Missouri; 2 sisters, Melissa Jones and husband Richard of Harrison and Beth Phelps and husband Billy of Springdale, Arkansas; his mother-in-law, Bonnie Bright of Harrison; his brothers-in-law, Todd Fulton, Steve Reddell, Mike Willis, Glen Nelle, Allan Bright, Albert Bright and Mike Corley; his sisters-in-law, Lisa Fulton, Loretta Reddell, Leah Willis, Lashana Nelle, Leslie Corley, Lindsey Hardman and Lacy Bright; 45 nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and many others who will mourn his passing.

Services for Rusty will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church of Valley Springs with Gabe Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at Holmes Cemetery in Valley Springs. Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison.

Pallbearers include Richard Jones, Todd Fulton, Steve Reddell, Mike Willis, Glen Nelle, Allan Bright, Albert Bright and Mike Corley. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Coble, Dr. McCall, Kiley Smith, Tiffany Alge, Kathy Gillit, Michelle Riggs, Doctors and staff of Regency LTAC, MD Anderson Hospital, North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, Ozark Cancer Clinic, Joel Baker, Billy Phelps, Brandi Cooper, Austin Drewry, Ben Eddings and Steven and Lee Ann Wayman.
