Norma Rae Garrett, 82, of Springville, was born to the late L.Z. Rives and Ethel Rives Burgett on October 30, 1936 and passed away on December 17, 2018. She attended the Straight Mountain Mennonite Church. She was employed as a surgery technician in the medical field. Also preceding her in death were her husband Elbert Garrett; siblings Olath Rives, Otis Rives, Walter Rives and Merle Isom Thomas. Survivors include her children William Garrett (Kay), Linda J. Blackmon and Alesia Marleen Moody (Ricky); four grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother DeLeath Rives and a host of other beloved family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Straight Mountain Mennonite Church on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 11 AM until 1 PM. Funeral service will follow at the Church at 1 PM with Bob Metzler and John Metzler officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Her great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Lemley Funeral Home and Crematory directing.
