Purvis
Kenneth Harris Anderson, 72, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at his home. Services will be Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis, followed by burial in Tyner Cemetery in Purvis.
Mr. Anderson was a member of Little Black Creek Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army for 12 years with the rank of Sergeant First Class. After his service he was a Condenser Operator with Mississippi Power for seven years, before retiring in 1984. He was a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He loved to grow fruit trees and tending Honeybees. He was also an avid outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harris and Nancy Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Nell Anderson of Purvis; one son, Kevin (Elisha) Anderson of Sachse, Tex.; one daughter, Tina (David) Morgan of Hattiesburg; one sister, Vivian (Billy) Ford of Sumrall; and four grandchildren, Lauren Anderson, Kaitlan Anderson, Robby Morgan, and Matthew Morgan.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Purvis.
