Funeral services for David Wayne Hunter, age 50, of Emory, will be held Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Emory Baptist Church with Rev. Arlis Banks and Rev. Joe Perkins officiating. Honorary pallbeares will be Emory Volunteer Fire Department. Burial will follow at Stout Creek Cemetery, Saltillo. Visitation will be Wed, Sept. 27, 2006 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Wilson Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Hunter passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Tarrant County, November 14, 1955 the son of Charles Arthur & Audrey Evelyn Cockrell Hunter. He married Terri Townsend Hunter December 8, 1977 in Tarrant County.
David ran a wrecker service and was in the Army for 7 years, and was a member of Miracle Faith Baptist Church in Emory. He was Captain and a long time member of Emory Volunteer Fire Dept.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Townsend Hunter of Emory; son, Daimen Scott Hunter & wife Dana of Emory; daughter, Audrey Evelyn Hunter of Commerce; grandchildren, Jasmin, Jaida, Zachary, McKenzie and 1 unborn grandson; brother, Bill Card of Richland Hills; sister, Anita Kay Fenimore of Ft. Worth; father-in-law, Troy Townsend of Sulphur Springs and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
