Jacquelyn H. Eure

Portsmouth - Jacquelyn Harrell Eure, 84, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016. A native of Portsmouth, she was born on June 15, 1931 to the late Leslie and Mary Harrell; and retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth. Jacquelyn loved painting, and was a member of the Elizabeth River Artists; Elizabeth Manor Country Club and a longtime member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Eure and a daughter, Linda E. Eure.

She is survived a daughter, Terry Eure Smith; a sister, Maryanne Reeves; three grandchildren, Chuck Barnes, Christian Riley and Ashley Savage; two great grandchildren, Charles A. Barnes and Aurora Ann Riley; and close friend, Beverly Byrd.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in St. Andrew's UMC by Rev. J.W. Park. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel on Monday evening from 6:30 7:30 PM.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's UMC, Portsmouth.
