Bruce D. Gregory, 83 of Elmore, OH died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio following a lengthy illness. He was born July 18, 1932 in Elmore, OH to the late Charles and Virginia (House) Gregory. He was a 1950 graduate of Harris- Elmore High School and received his Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the Bowling Green State University. He later received his Masters Degree in Education. Bruce retired in 1992 as the Bursar for the University of Toledo. In 1960 he married the former Janet Kuhlman and she survives. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church, Elmore, and served on the Library Board and Village Council both in Elmore. Bruce also spent many years playing trumpet for the Johnny Knorr Band and enjoyed flying airplanes.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Janet of Elmore; children: Lynn Crow of Madeira Beach, FL, Hal (Mary) Gregory of Elmore, and Lee Ann (Newton) Horst of North Ridgeville, OH; grandchildren: Jason Crow, Hannah (Kyle) Johnson, Stephanie Crow, Hunter Gregory, Samantha Horst, and Mason Gregory.
Funeral Services will begin at 1pm Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore- Genoa Chapel. Family will receive friends from 11am until the time of the service Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery.
