Beloved Mother Passes Away
Mrs. Courtney Bowman died at her home about three miles northeast of Bogue Chitto, Saturday, November 14th, 1925.
Mrs. Bowman was the wife of R.W. Bowman, well known farmer of Lincoln county. Mr. and Mrs. Bowman having been life long residents of this county.
Mrs. Bowman was taken suddenly on Wednesday morning with pneumonia and died Saturday morning at about three o'clock.
Mrs. Bowman was before her marriage, Miss Courtney Boutwell, and when death overtook her she was about sixty-five years of age.
She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Jessie Myers of Shreveport, La.; Mrs. Hugh Blailock, Kosciusko, Miss.; Mrs. Frank Wilson, Kosciuskos and Mrs. Curtis Young, Mobile, Ala., and two sons, P. Bowman of Shreveport, and Bill Bowman of this county. Her husband also survives her and five sisters besides a number of grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She was loved by all who knew her, as was expressed by the many friends who attended the funeral services which were held at the Mt. Olive Christian church conducted by Rev. J.A. Taylor of Brookhaven, Sunday afternoon at three o'clock, and by the beautiful floral offerings.
Internment was made in the Mt. Olive cemetery.
