Pfc. U.S. Army, {Ra12762774}, Vietnam War-Pfc. Soper was killed in action on 8-6-1967 when his Helicopter was shot down {UH-1D} during Operation Samurai I while serving as Infantryman with the 281st AHC, 10th Aviation Battalion, 17th Aviation Group, 1st Aviation Brigade. Pfc. Soper started his tour of Vietnam on 9-28-1966.

Pfc. Soper is the beloved son of Mr. Asa & Mrs. Virginia Soper of 195 Kensington Avenue, Staten Island, New York, and he enlisted with the Army on 3-11-1966.
