Mabel was the daughter of Edward (E.C.) Allamong and his first wife, Annie E. Barber. Mabel and her husband John H Perry were married in Winchester in 1911. They had eight children; 6 daughters and 2 sons, plus: 21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Mabel was employed by the Winchester Star newspaper for decades and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. Her funeral was performed by the Reverends Palmer and Austin.
