Rhonda M. "Taz" Lewis, 62, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016, at her residence.
The Lawrence County, Ohio native was born February 10, 1954, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Willie Marie Blevins Messenger.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bobby Joe Lewis, whom she married December 25, 1971.
Mrs. Lewis attended Ironton High School, was a homemaker and a former member of the Ironton Moose.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tee Jay Lewis, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph Thomas Lewis and Alma Lewis, her sister-in-law, Josie Thibodaux
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Joey (Christina) Lewis of Portsmouth, OH.,three grandchildren, Amanda Lewis, Amber Lewis, and J.W. Lewis, a sister, Donna Workman of Kitts Hill, two nieces, Misty (Avery) Bryant of Coal Grove and Amy Casey of Kitts Hill, eight great nieces and nephews, a brother-in-law, Albert (Ruth) Lewis of Michigan, a sister-in-law, Alma Jean Angel of Columbus, OH.
The Lewis family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South 7th Street, Ironton, Ohio 45638. We will meet in Hecla Cemetery at 11:00A.M. Wednesday for a graveside service, with Rev. Richard Carter officiating.
