Colleen Richards Cecil, 86, of Corsicana, passed away at Heritage Oaks West Retirement on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Resthaven Memorial Park with Bro. William Dollar officiating.

Colleen was born in Corsicana, Texas, to the late Joseph Dawson and Lexie Armstrong Dawson. She was a longtime resident of Corsicana and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Colleen was a volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW serving as President of the auxiliary for many years, as well as a volunteer with the Dallas Veterans Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Richards; and husband, Robert Cecil.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen French and husband, Ken; son, Jerry Stroud and wife, Elizabeth, of Corsicana; step-sons, Jack Richards and wife, Kathy, of Dallas, and James Richards and wife, Betty, of Corsicana; grandchildren: Frank Allen and wife, Anna, Danny Allen and wife, Tina, Gillian Stroud Morrison, David Richards, Tracy Richards, Chris Richards, Matt Richards, Josh French and wife, Danielle, and Caroline French; great-grandchildren: Sarah Allen, Emma Allen, Jack Allen, Noah Allen, Gavin Morrison, Brent Bray, Corbin Bray, Devan Bray, Avie Carter and Nick Atkeisson.
