Johnny W. West Sr., 69, of Frankfort, Kentucky, died at his home February 23, 1983. A native of Owen County, he was the son of the late Joel and Mary Deacons West, and the widower of Frances McDaniel West. He was a retired farmer who served as Franklin County jailer for sixteen years and deputy sheriff for eight years. Surviving are two sons, Johnny W. West Jr. of Somerville, Mass., and Michael Thomas West of Frankfort; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Hall, Mrs. Debbie Palmer and Mrs. Vickie Prather, of Frankfort; one brother, Jesse West, and three grandchildren. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Woodford County, Kentucky.
