Cecile Lorea "Polly" Hamill, 65, of Wright City passed away Sunday, January 1, 2006 at her residence.
She was born January 27, 1940 in the Mound Grove Community to Cecil and Ola Rea Bryant Bacorn.
She married Joe C. Hamill on June 4, 1957 in the Herndon Community.
Polly worked as a nurse at several area nursing homes, most recently Hills Nursing Home in Idabel, where she was affectionately known to her co-workers as "Ce Ce".
She along with her husband had owned and operated Hamill's Grocery for 20 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Polly was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Wright City and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Polly is survived by her husband, Joe C. Hamill of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Sandy Hamill of Millerton, Joe C. Hamill Jr. of Wright City, and Sean and Lacy Hamill of Wright City; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Randy Howard of Hugo; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ola Faye and Troy Hunt of the Herndon Community, and Sandra and Earl Wright of Wright City; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Services will be Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Wright City with Bro. Troy Ruffin and Bro. Randy Watkins officiating.
Interment will follow in the Moran Cemetery.
