Gary Rhodes, age 77, of Mountain Home, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016, at St. Lukes Elmore Long Term Care.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, located at 500 No. 18th East, in Mountain Home.

Gary L. Rhodes, age 77, of Mountain Home, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016, at St. Lukes Elmore Long Term Care. A celebration of Gary's life will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the Mountain Home Elks Lodge.
Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mtn Home.

Gary was born on May 17, 1938, in Nampa, Idaho. Gary married Audrey Roddel on February 28, 1995.

Gary was in business over 50 years owning Big O Tire and G & G Tire. Gary was known as the best "Tire Man" in Mountain Home. He prided himself of exceptional service and taking care of his customers. He was always there to help people rain or shine.
Gary enjoyed fishing, boating, NASCAR, playing cards and he loved all sports including the Boise State Broncos.
To Gary's surprise Bella, a maltese, became his best friend and companion. Bella was by his side until the end.

Gary is survived by his wife Audrey Rhodes of Mountain Home, his daughter Sondi Rhodes of Meridian, sons Sammy Rhodes of Boise and Gaylen Rhodes of Idaho, his step-daughter Shannan Bate of Mountain Home, stepson Richard Cunningham of Oregon, brother in-law Gene Richey of Nampa, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Gara Walchli and his sister Constance Richey.

Memorials in Gary's name can be sent to the Mountain Home Elk's Lodge, 325 So. 3rd West, Mtn Home, ID 83647
