Wanda was born in Metcalf County to the late Oakley Jewell Lawson and Velma Vibbert Lawson Mays. She married Kenneth Ramey and they were blessed with one son, Danny Joe. They lived in the Downriver area of metro Detroit.
Wanda retired to Harrison, Michigan, a beautiful area of woodlands and rolling hills in the north-central Lower Peninsula. She lived near Danny and filled her days with many pursuits.
As her health declined, she moved into Carter's Country Home, an assisted living facility in Holly, Michigan. She died peacefully at the age of 65.
In addition to son Danny and his wife Jane, she is survived by her half-brother, John Mays of Cedar Creek, TX.
