Mrs. Rita M Williams, 42 of Rock Island, died yesterday at Moline Public Hospital after an extended illness. The body has been donated to medical research. Memorial services will be at 7 pm tomorrow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Rock Island. Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Quad-Cities Diabetes Association.
Mrs Williams was born April 26 1939 in Rock Island the daughter of Kenneth and Marie Saunders Kerker. She was a life resident of Rock Island. She attended Our Lady of Angels Academy, Clinton, Iowa and St Mary's School of Nursing, LaSalle-Peru. She was a licensed practical nurse at the former St Anthony’s Hospital, Rock Island.
Surviving are two sons Gregory and Todd, both at home; her mother Marie Kerker, Rock Island; six sisters Mrs Mary Norton and Carol Sigler both of Moline Sister Alice Kerker, BVM San Bernadino Calif, Mrs Martha Claver of Davenport, Mrs Myra Hunter of East Moline and Miss Sylvia Kerker of Bodega Bay, Calif and brothers Leo and James Kerker both of Rock Island
