Darlene Ann Goodwin, 70, of Essexville, our lovable, fun, caring, and strong wife, mother, and sister was born into eternal life on the morning of Monday, March 7, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dar was born in Bay City on December 5, 1945, the daughter of the late Alex and Delores (Ciesielski) Lawrence.
While attending Delta College, she met Robert Goodwin. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on September 25, 1968.
Dar was known for her unwavering love for her family. She had a natural ability to relate with all types of people, from all walks of life. Dar was a parishioner of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish, and enjoyed golfing, walking, and reading.
She will forever be remembered and missed by her husband of forty-eight years, Bob, and their three children, Brian Goodwin, Cheryl Goodwin, and Kevin Goodwin. Dar is also survived by her brother, Richard Lawrence, and in-laws, Pat Walmsley and Linda Myers.
In addition to her parents, Dar was welcomed home to heaven by her brothers-in-law, Jim Goodwin and William Goodwin.
Dar's family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 2:00 PM until the time of her 6:00 PM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate with cremation to follow.
