Melinda Jane Prestidge was born 15 Mar 1865 in Rockford Township, Wright County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret [Holliday] Prestidge, who are also buried in the Elmwood Cemetery.

She had no children.
She lived with her brother Burton Prestidge during her last illness. She became very difficult to care for in her final months.

RESIDENCE: She lived with her husband Will Hall in the Spring Valley area, where they farmed.

DEATH: OBITUARY OF MELINDA HALL FROM WRIGHT COUNTY JOURNAL PRESS:

Mrs. William Hall died Sunday morning at her home in this village at the age of 85. Her health had not been good for a few years, and a week earlier she had a fall, injuring one arm and Dr. W. P. Anderson of Buffalo was the attending physician. Mrs. Hall formerly lived in Spring Valley, but a few years after her husbands death, she came to Rockford to live, coming here in 1945.

Melinda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Prestidge was born in North Rockford, and is survived by nine brothers and sisters, and many other relatives, as well as friends. Her brother Burton Prestidge and wife, have been living with and caring for her. The funeral was held at the Peterson Funeral Home, Buffalo, Tuesday Sept. 5th.

She is my paternal Grand Aunt.
