Larry E. Gross, 72, died at 8:15 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Dawn A. (Rider) Gross.

Born August 11, 1943, in York, he was a son of the late Vance E. and Elsie (Eichelberger) Gross, and stepson of Helen Gross, of Dover.

He was retired from Kinsley Construction and had served in the U.S. Army from 1961 until 1964. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and had served as Cub Master of Pack 57 for ten years.

In addition to his wife and stepmother, Mr. Gross is survived by a son, Brian D. Gross, and his wife Alysia, of York Haven; a daughter, Dee A. Stewart, and her husband Nathan, of York Haven; 11 grandchildren, Taylor, Benjamin, Lacey, Matthew, Michael, Sean, Jordan, Jalissa, Haley, Isabella, and Leah; a brother, John Michael Harman; and three sisters, Glenda "Sue" Villones, Linda Simpson, and Rita Clayton.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 S. Main St., Manchester, with his brother, the Rev. John M. Harman, officiating. Viewing will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with military honors presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association , 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
