ROBERT RICKMAN DIES; RITES SET FOR MONDAY

Robert Eugene Rickman 44, native resident of Bartlesville, and postal clerk employee with the Bartlesville United States Post office since 1960 was dead on arrival at 11:20 a.m. Thursday in the Jane Phillips Building of the Jane Phillips Episcopal Memorial Medical Center where he was taken following several months of illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Rickman will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Memory Chapel of the Arnold Moore Funeral Residence. The Rev. Keith Bottles and the Rev. Rene Colaw of the First Church of the Nazarene will be the officiats and interment will be directed in the Memorial Park Cemetery by the Arnold Moore Funeral Service.

Rickman was born here on August 17, 1928, and was reared and received his elementary and high school education in the Bartlesville schools, graduating from college High School with the senior class of 1947. He was first employed at the Sears Store here and was later employed in the General Services Department of the Phillips Petroleum Company from 1950 until 1959.

In 1960 he joined the U.S. Postal Service here as a postal clerk and remained until September 1972 when he went on inactive status because of his failing health. He was married to Mrs. Nelma Riley here in Bartlesville on April 6, 1968 and she survives him. Rickman was a member of the Bartlesville Eagles Lodge Area No. 610 and the Bartlesville Moose Lodge Area No. 1322.

In addition to his wife of the home of the home 1808 South Oak, survivors include one daughter Mary Lou Rickman of the home, two sons, Tony Allen Rickman 409 Theodore & Bruce Allen Rickman of the home, four step-sons, Mark Steven Riley of the U.S. Navy Stationed at Pax River, MD., Larry Allen Riley 409 Theodore, James William Riley & Joe Michael Riley also of the home address, his step-mother Mrs. Ruth Rickman 339 Oak St. Dewey; and two brothers Luther F. Rickman 2135 South Osage, and Emmett Rickman 402 N.E. Avondale.
