Clarence C. "Doc" Coe, 56, 1839 High, died Sunday shortly after arrival at a Topeka hospital.
He was born Dec. 26, 1924, at Kansas City, Mo., the son of Charles and Ella Baird Coe. He came to Topeka with his family in 1925.
Mr. Coe served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and he retired in 1973 after 20 years of service at the Topeka VA hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Jackie Coe, Parsons; a brother, Dan Coe, Topeka; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Schultz and Mrs. Margaret Zart, both of Topeka.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Topeka Cemetery. Mr. Coe will lie in state from 3 p.m. Monday until 9 a.m. Wednesday at Tibbitts-Griffin-Highland Chapel.
