Mr. Robbins was a graduate from Humes High School, Class of 1952. He served 4 years in the Unites States Air Force that included 18 months in Korea and Japan. Following his military service he became an Air Traffic Controller, working in Seattle, WA, Phoenix, AZ, and the ARTCC at the Memphis center from which he retired. He was a long time member of the Hernando Church of Christ.
Mr. Robbins enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying and working on many hobbies and projects.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Rafferty of 62 years; 2 children, Steve Robbins (Barbara), Laurie Edwards; 4 grandchildren, Heather Robbins, Thomas Edwards, Robin Edwards (Kim), and Jonathan Robbins (Lindsey); 2 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Nolan Edwards.
Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Behind the Stone Wall.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials can be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, [email protected]. or the charity of the donor’s choice.
