She was born in Coshocton County on September 23, 1922 to the late George and Barbara (Strouse) Taylor. She married Robert L. Watts on November 6, 1943, who preceded her in death on August 31, 1996.
June was a long time member of the Union Grove Church of Christ, where she played piano and organ. She was also a member of the Ohio Holstein Women, the Tiverton Grange, the Holmes County Farm Bureau, and the Seven Hills Garden Club.
She is survived by sons; Richard (Jeannie) Watts of Salem, VA, and Steve (Carol) Watts of Brinkhaven, a daughter, Joyce (Mark) Solem of Burnsville, NC, grandchildren; Julie(Henry) Hughes, Tracy (Kevin) Hancock, Brian (Val) Watts, Kevin (Ashley) Watts, and Kyle Watts, great grandchildren; William, John, and Amy Hughes, Megan and Kenzie Hancock, and Ayden and Abi Watts, a brother-in-law, Lloyd Hawkins, and sisters-in-law; Audrey Taylor, and Helen Garvin.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and husband, were 2 sisters; Rose Hawkins and Opal Hayes, and a brother, Wayne Taylor.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 16, at the Union Grove Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville.
