John R. Beegle, 80, of Clearville, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 17th, 2013.
He was born Thursday, November 3rd, 1932 at his family home in Monroe Township, a son of the late Russell Beegle and Vera (McCune) Beegle.
On December 16th, 1953 in Hancock Maryland he married Elsie (Davis) Beegle, who survives along with their children,
Carl Beegle and Betty Fluke, of Clearville
Roger Beegle and wife Clara (Mallow) Beegle of Clearville
Montie (Doozer) Beegle and fiancé Darlene Ferrell, of Clearville
Karen Morse of Friends Cove
10 grandchildren, Carl Jr., John, Amy "Fred", Amber, Amanda, Matt, David, Melissa, Hunter and Cody
17 great-grandchildren
Two sisters, Betty Mills of Greenville and Jo Ann Jay and husband Richard Jay of Everett
A sister-in-law, Gerry (Price) Beegle of Clearville, and a nephew and two nieces raised at home with him as close as a brother and sisters, Eugene Beegle of Clearville, Donna Hockenberry of Everett, and Linda King of Everett.
He was preceded in passing away by four sisters Florence Kraus, Viola McDonald, Wanda VonStein, Annetta Wine, two brothers Calvin Beegle and H. Lloyd Beegle a great-granddaughter Hannah, a nephew he was raised with, Marl "Jigs" Beegle and a son-in-law Harry D. Sleighter.
As a young man, not only did John work with his family at their Monroe Township farm, he was also employed as a planer and mechanic at Allegheny Hardwood in Everett. He then owned and operated his own logging and planing mill at his Clearville dairy and beef cattle farm, never truly retired, working with his sons until his very last days.
At home he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, running the bulldozer knocking down trees and clearing land, caring for his horses and other farm animals, riding the ATV with his pets dogs CoCo, Buddy, Yeller, and Baby, and just being an all around enthusiastic outdoorsman who will be greatly missed.
Burial will be held at Pleasant Union Cemetery.
