Pioneer -- National Park Namesake. Ebenezer Bryce was a carpenter and a convert to the Mormon Church. He settled in Pine Valley Utah in 1875 and built the Mormon chapel there. He later moved to Paria Valley where his homestead became known as Bryce Canyon. The canyon has since lended its name to the Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah the USS Bryce Canyon, and Bryce 3D rendering software. Bryce, Graham, Arizona, was also named in honor of this man.
