The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at the Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville by Elder Ronald Brown. Burial will be in the Hallsboro Memorial Park. Viewing will be at the funeral home Friday from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service. Surviving are: wife, Edith Albertha Shipman; daughters, Sheila Cutler, Sharon Troy, and Sharon Manning of Whiteville, Mary Fulton of Freeman, NC, and Edith Denise Coffee of Laurel, MD; sons, Vernon Shipman of Temple Hills, MD, Aaron Shipman of Fair Bluff, NC, and Charles Leonard Shipman of Maxton, NC; sister, Mable Bland of Bolton, NC.
