Richard G. Bunting, Sr., 77, of Lewes, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family and his dog Sam. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Helen M. Bunting. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Frances M. Bunting; his sons Richard Bunting, Jr. and John F. Bunting; and his grandchildren, Mitchell Bunting, Alex Hamilton, Charles Bunting, Allyssa Garchinsky, Amanda Bunting, and great grandson Hayden Wells.
Richard was retired from Verizon after 44 years of service as a fiber optic splicing technician. He enjoyed surf fishing and wood carving.
Funeral services will begin with a viewing at 10 am, Monday March 14 2016, with services to follow at 11am, at Melson's Funeral Home, 32013 Long Neck Rd, Long Neck, DE. Burial to follow at Henlopen Memorial Park in Milton.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association .
