Jimmy Alfred Bryant, 81, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016.
Jimmy was born, February 1, 1935, to Samuel Edgar and Mammie Lee (Koger) Bryant in Vista, MO. He married Elizabeth Ann Parker, January 12, 1957, with whom he had two children, Donny and Becky. He served in the US Army. Upon completion of his tour of duty, Jimmy was a lineman for the electric company. Jimmy was active in the community and enjoyed fishing.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Ann (Parker) Bryant.
He is survived by his son, Donny Bryant and wife Sandi; his daughter, Becky Snow; four grandchildren, Chip Snow, Chelsie Snow, Amber Bryant, and Kaitlyn Bryant; one great-grandchild, Bryant Snow.
Jimmy’s passing will be felt throughout the community by those that loved him. His family and friends miss him greatly.
The family will receive friends from 5-8pm, Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, MO. Graveside Service will be held at 11am, Friday, March 11, 2016, at Athelstan, IA.
