QUEEN, Paul William, a resident of Deatsville, AL; passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the age of 66.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Suzie Beeson and Doug Pack officiating. Burial will follow at Coosa River Cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Mr. Queen is preceded in death by his parents, Sam G. & Blanche S. Queen, brothers, Thomas and Steve Queen all of Athens, Tn. He is survived by his wife, Linda Queen, sons, Greg (Evelyn) Meeks, Clay (Lora) Meeks, sister, Sammie Queen (Tim) Hawkins, sister-in-law, Sarah (Steve) Queen, several nieces and nephews, and four grandchildren, Carlie Spencer, Ashlen Meeks, Cade Meeks, Spencer Meeks.
Active pallbearers will be Robbie Bolton, Bill Bolton, Tom Bolton, Hunter Gaines, Mike Roberts, and Damon Abernethy. Honorary pallbearers will be David Helms, Ed Ewing, Roger Fuller, Billy Salter, and the Shoal Creek and Cain's Chapel families.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Gassett Funeral Home.
Paul was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and loved the Lord, his family and Tennessee football.
