Jerry Lewis Timmons, 75, of Norman, OK passed away March 10, 2016. He was born April 8, 1940 to Minnis and Velma Timmons in Mangum, OK. Jerry was a graduate of Mangum High School Class of 58. He attended Central State University, where he received a Bachelors Degree in business management. Jerry was employed by Tinker Air Force Base and retired after 32 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, especially quail. He enjoyed watching news and stock market channels. Jerry’s favorite sports team was OSU. He was a fan of NASCAR, especially the Watkins Glen International Race. Jerry had a great sense of humor and a very patient personality. He was his grandchildrens biggest fan in their sports and school activities. Jerry’s first love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; 2 daughters, Terry Armstrong and husband, Chris, of Fate, TX and Shelley Arnold and husband, Nathan, of Norman; 6 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Glovetta Hightower of Ardmore and Norma Low Moon, of Royse City, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Royce and David Timmons; and 1 sister, June Shony. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, March 14, 2016 at the chapel of John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
