Daniel Glass, Sr., pioneer resident of this city, died at the home of his son Daniel Jr. of Panama, Iowa, January 17, after having been ill only a day from a paralytic stroke. The funeral and interment took place at Panama.
Surviving are Mrs. Glass, who also lives with her son in Iowa, and the following seven children, George, of this city; Vance, of Berwyn, IL; Mrs. Frank Merrill, Antioch, IL; John of Chicago; Mrs. Fred Martin, of Marian, North Dakota; Daniel Jr. and William, of Panama, Iowa.
Mr. Glass was born in Iowa, March 28, 1856. He came to Surgeon Bay about 1870 and lived here about 18 years when he went to work in Chicago. Two years ago he retired and went to live with his son. While here, Mr. Glass was employed by the Reynolds Preserving Company.
