Otis C. Arnold, age 70, of Waukegan went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Froedtert
Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born on November 27, 1935 in Augusta, AR. On July 2, 1977 he married Bradie Davis in Waukegan.
Surviving Otis are his loving wife of 29 years, Bradie; sons, Derrick Arnold, Sr. of Los Angeles, Robert (Karen) Turner of Waukegan, Aaron Turner of Dallas, TX; daughter, Doris Davis of Waukegan; brother, Robert Berry of Augusta, AR; sisters, Vernorse Davis of Bellflower, CA, Lorse Freeman of Inglewood, CA; grandchildren, Robert (Denise) Turner, Doris Bacon, Julia (Larry) Hamilton, Derrick Arnold, Jr., LaNia Arnold, Markia Arnold, Johnny Davis, Tiffani Turner, Austin Turner; 19 great-grandchildren; great-grandson, Andre Davis, whom they are raising as their own son; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Dick Wareham.
Otis was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Sylvia (Henderson) Arnold; daughter, Beaulah Bacon; brothers, Willie Berry and Bobby Arnold; sisters, Ida Brown and Luella Kirkwood; granddaughter, Letkia Davis; and father and mother-in-law, Joe and Beaulah Davis.
Otis was Father Arnold at Word of Life Ministries in Beach Park and two years ago he became an ordained Deacon. He worked at R. Lavin & Sons in North Chicago as a machine operator from 1973 until retiring in 1992 after 19 years of service.
Friends may meet with the family on Monday, October 2, 2006 from 11:00 Am until service time at 12:00 PM at Word of Life Ministries, 10215 W. Beach Rd., Beach Park with Apostle Ernest and Prophetess Barbara Taylor officiating. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
