A former waitress, she was an active member of Victory Tabernacle Church where she sang in the choir and led the nursing home ministry. She enjoyed helping others daily, and was an accomplished clog dancer.
She is survived by her children, Barbara (Charlie) Alexander, Georgetown, Ralph (Connie) Tackett, Georgetown and Russell (Susan) Tackett, Sadieville; brother, Kermit Dixon, Lexington; sister, Janice Goodin, Georgetown; grandchildren, Michael, Maria, Joey, Ross, John, Shaun, Justin and Brian; as well thirteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister’s Diana Young, Beulah Shockley and Ruth Wright.
Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Scott County, Kentucky.
