Grace Lynn Gamble Wright, 74, of Marietta, GA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on March 10, 2016, after an extended illness.

She was born on March 21, 1941, in Sheffield, AL and raised in Florence, AL, where she met and married the love of her life. Lynn was a beloved wife, mother, Gammy, sister, aunt, and friend to all. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Daniel Cloyd Wright, her parents, Grace and Ernest (Edward) Blain Gamble, her sister Eileen G Bevis, and brother, Estes B. Gamble.

She is survived by her daughter, Leigh Wright of Marietta, GA; son and daughter-in-love, Scott and April Wright and granddaughter, Ava Trinity Wright of Powder Springs, GA; sister, Betty Jean Chard (Charles) of Richardson, TX and multiple nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved kitties, Honey and Patches, and many dear friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, located at 56 Whitlock Ave NW. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the Church. Committal Service and burial will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Officiating pastors will be Rev. Elaine Wilder and Rev. Ron Katis. Pallbearers: Charles Chard, Kirk Wright, Royce King, Jan Hoppe, Bill Sweatt, Bob Williams.

Lynn was a proud American and patriot, and shared her love and knowledge of this great nation as an historical east coast interpreter for 29 years, creating memories, filling and enriching the minds of children and adults across the country. In honor of her patriotism, the family requests all attendees to wear something red, white, and/or blue. In addition, the family requests that donations be made in Lynn's memory to the SHARE Military Initiative at Shepherd Center.
