Mrs. Janette Callahan King, age 82, of The Rock GA, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Golden Living Center.
Mrs. King was born on January 2, 1934 in Upson County to the late Elmo and Lois McDaniel Callahan. She was owner/operator of Zebulon Florist, member of Mountain View Baptist Church, and member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard David King. Survivors include her daughter, Debra J. Dorough of The Rock; sons, Randal King of Forsyth, and Johnny (Marty) King of Gainsville FL; sister, June Jones of Panama City Beach FL; brother, Bobby Callahan of Thomaston; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. King will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Moody Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Coggins Funer al Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mountain View Baptist Church, 2569 Jeff Davis Rd. Thomaston GA 30286.
