MATTOON -- Carolyn Sue Moore Fryman, age 71, of Mattoon passed away at 5:08 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Odd Fellow Rebekah Home. Funeral services honoring her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at Schilling Funeral Home. Carolyn was born on August 29, 1944 in West Frankfort, IL the daughter of Clyde and Ethel Perryman) Moore. She married Kenneth W. Fryman on September 15, 1962. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2014. Survivors include her grandchildren, Blake Fryman and Brandon Fryman both of Mattoon, IL; special daughter-in-law, Lisa (Mark) Trueblood of Mattoon, IL; siblings, Vivian (Jerome) Crawford of West Frankfort, IL, Greta (Jim) Wright of Valier, IL, Donald (Janice) Lamkin of Benton, IL, Ronald (Jan) Lamkin of Effingham, IL, Shelia (Ted) Martin of West Frankfort, IL, Brenda (John) Snowden of Sneedville, TN, Roger (Debbie) Moore of Kirksville, MO and Cynthia (Jerry) Chorosevic of Bristol, TN; sister-in-law, Gloria (Ron) Filipiak of Mattoon, IL; brothers-in-law, Joe (Janet) Fryman and Roger Fryman both of Mattoon, IL. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Kenneth W. Fryman Jr. Carolyn retired from Consolidated Communications in 1998 after 29 years of dedicated service. Prior to her illness, she volunteered at Heartland Christian Village and was a member of Paradise Bible Study, Broadway Christian Church and the Highlighters Sunday School Class. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, baking, making candy, flower gardening, traveling and shopping. Memorial donations in her honor are suggested to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 4215 Lindell, St. Louis, MO 63108.
