Walter was the son of the late Samuel Walter and Murrel Berkley Jeffries Kincaid. He was a mail carrier in Alderson, WV having retired from the USPS after 24 years of service. He was a mechanic at the former Ford Garage in Alderson for 7 years. He was also the former owner and operator of the Alderson Esso/Exxon Mobil station for several years. He was also well known for being a former taxi driver in Alderson for many years and was a long-time farmer in the Blue Sulphur Springs district. He attended Alderson schools, was a member of the Faith Baptist Church at Pence Springs, WV, and was a long-time member of the National Rifle Association. He was a gentle man with a keen sense of humor who had many witty sayings that would brighten your day. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Ray Kincaid. He is survived by his w/o 17 years, Oassie Canterbury.
