CHARLES E. FORRY DIED IN GRIDLEY; RITES TOMORROW

GRIDLEY -Charles Edward Forry died here Saturday morning. Born in Freeport, Ill., Nov. 15, 1875, he was 95.
A retired machine designer and inventor, he had lived here for the past six years, and for 50 years in California.
Private Christian Science funeral, services will be held in Gridley Funeral Chapel tomorrow at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
Mr. Forry was a member of Fortitude Lodge No. 624, F. & A. M., of Oakland; the California Scottish Rite Bodies, of San Francisco, and was a 32nd degree Mason; a member of the Masonic Order for more than 50 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rhoda Watson, of Gridley; one grandson, and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Forry was designer and inventor of the first automatic peach-pitting machine, widely used in the industry. He also designed man other types of canning machines and was with the American Can Company for may years.
