Martha B. Rollie, 93, of Wykoff, died Feb. 7, 2005 at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Martha Meyer was born Aug. 12, 1911, in Forestville Township, Fillmore County to Otto and Amanda (Affeldt) Meyer.

On Sept. 3, 1930, she married Theodore J. "Ted" Rollie in Wykoff. The couple farmed in the Wykoff area all their married lives. Mr. Rollie died Dec. 23, 1986. She moved to Spring Valley Care Center in June 2002. Mrs. Rollie was a lifelong member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and was active in the choir and ladies aid. She was also a member of the Rainbow Garden Club and Thriftyville Homemakers and was an active 4-H leader.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry (Marlene) of Spring Valley, Ron (Karen) of Wykoff and Phillip (Jean) of Atkins, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Paul Meyer and Marvin (Darlene) Meyer, both of Spring Valley, and Otto Meyer and Edward (June) Meyer, both of Wykoff; and three sisters, Amanda Laue of Pine Island, Magdalene Jeske of Wykoff and Edna Schultz of Spring Valley. Four brothers preceded her in death.

The funeral for Martha B. Rollie was Feb. 11 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wykoff, with the Rev. Peter J. Sestak officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Thauwald Funeral Home in Spring Valley was in charge of arrangements.
