The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bible Tabernacle Church, 361 S. Pine St., York. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. View ing will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Hines was born Feb. 5, 1950, in York. She was the daughter of Virgil C. Day of Delaware and Madeline (Hall) Day of Falling Waters, W.Va.
She was a social worker for Community Progress Council; and worked for Farm Workers Opportunities and Dyncorp. She was a member of Bible Tabernacle Church of York and 100 Black Women's Association.
Ms. Hines also is survived by a daughter, Camille M. Day of York; two grandchildren; and a sister, Carol A. Day of York.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Carl H. Scott.
