Minnie Waren Goodrich was the daughter of Truman Hawkins Goodrich and Mary Elizabeth Baker Goodrich (his first wife).

She had two known siblings: Harry M. Goodrich and Margaret Gertrude Goodrich Smith Wilson.

Minnie was married to Samuel Randolph Smith who was also from Ottawa County, Michigan.

They had the following children: Edna "Laura" Smith, Harold L. Smith, Ruth Smith, Eyla L. Smith and James H. Smith.

On December 24, 1942 while walking in her home she fell and broke her right hip. She was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital. On January 14th she had a cerebral hemorrhage. She passed away 4 days later.
