Seth B. Wing

Enlisted on 1/6/1864 as a Private.
On 1/6/1864 he mustered into "B" Co. ME 29th Infantry
He deserted on 1/15/1864
Seth Burgess Wing joined the 29th Maine infantry, but deserted after only a week. We don't know what he did in the interim, but on August 17, 1864 he joined the Ninth Vermont, first with Co. B, then with Company E, as Seth Burgess. Seth mustered out on December 1, 1865. He returned to Vermont, where he married Luthera Litchfield Wing, widow of his uncle Stephen Brown Wing.
At his death, he was honored by the local American Legion for his Civil War Service.
