Lillian Ball, 89, of Hillsboro, Texas, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at Walls Regional Hospital in Cleburne. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors East Side Chapel in Hillsboro with James Smith and Carroll Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Lillian was born in Hillsboro, Texas, to the late John and Nancy (Dutton) Allen. On October 7, 1933, she married R. C. Ball. For 10 years, she was a supervisor in the food department at Hill Regional Hospital. Lillian was a member of Central Christian Church in Hillsboro, a member of the Home Demonstration Club, and a charter member of the Union Bluff Community Center. She loved quilting.

She was preceded in death by her husband on October 23, 1985; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son, Billy Gene Ball and wife, Delilah, of Joshua, Texas; daughters, Ann Wills and husband, Bruce, of Laguna Park, and Glenda Sue Lewis, of Hillsboro; grandchildren: Donald Gene Ball, Joy Lynn Owen, Brystol Schultz, and Lorie Wills; five great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Murphree, of Hillsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
