Mrs. Martin passed away on Monday April 12, 2021.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hurshel Martin, son, Donald Martin, brothers, Milton Quinn, and Billy Quinn, sisters, Lois McWhorter, Laverne Heard, and Catherine Shelton.
Left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Martin are her daughter: Shirley (Jimmy) Thornton; daughter-in law: Alice Martin; grandchildren: Tracy (Doug) Phillips, Adam (Christie) Thornton, LaDonna (Philip) Gilley, and Josh (Tara) Martin; great-grandchildren: Trey (Megan) Phillips, Brody Phillips, Quinton Thornton, Travis Thornton, Alyssa Gilley, Alexis Gilley, and Anna Claire Martin; sister: Lela (Emmett P.) Roper; brother: Herstine (Connie) Quinn.
Mrs. Martin loved God and her family and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for 25 years. Hard work was her family motto. Mrs. Martin worked in the lunchroom at Webster's Chapel School as well as Pleasant Valley School. She loved being at home and planting flowers.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Oak Grove Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
