Virginia A. "Jane" Buchanan, 91, of North Baltimore, passed away March 9, 2016, at Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore. She was born July 1, 1924, in Mt. Cory, OH to Daniel and Clelia (Cahill) Reichenbach. Virginia married George Buchanan and he preceded her in death in December of 1975. Virginia was a member of the North Baltimore American Legion Post 539 Auxiliary. She was retired from Plasto. She is survived by her children, Barbara (Jerry Roberts) Ray, Tom (Linda) Buchanan, Lynda (Greg) Rister, Curt (Becky) Buchanan, Patti (Robert) Gazarek, her step children, Nancy Wasserman, Jim Buchanan and Mary (Charles) Simmons, her siblings, Janette (Karl) McCartney and Jim Reichenbach, her 42 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, her children, Dan, Judy and Joan, her siblings, Howard, Marvin, Robert, Lincoln, Bernice and Katherine. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., March 11, 2016, at SMITH CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with Reverend Susan Kronbach officiating, where visitation will be held 2 hours (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) prior to the service. Burial will be in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore. Memorial contributions may be made to the Briar Hill Health Campus Activities Fund.
