LONG, John Francis Jr. - 33, 106 Cabot St., Sydney, died February 25, 1993, in Sydney City Hospital. Born in Sydney, he was a son of John F. (Shorts) and Pearl (MacAskill) Long, Sydney. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Sydney. For a number of years, he was an attending member of the Kinsmen Resource Centre. Most recently, he worked with Servicemaster and prior to this, the Cape Breton Post. He was a trainer with the Dicemen Hockey Team of Sydney. He is survived by two sisters, Theresa (Mrs. Harry Morrison), Maureen (Mrs. Amos Donovan), both of Sydney; two brothers, Howie, Sydney; Robert, Toronto. The body is in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Church, Rev. Sandy MacNeil officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. Donations may be made to Kinsmen Resource Centre or Canadian Cerebral Palsy Association.
