Funeral services for Nellie Faye Bennett, age 82, of Roanoke, will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Donald Spradlin and Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, March 6, 2016.

Mrs. Bennett passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016, at Traylor’s Nursing Center.

Survivors include one daughter, Emily Mason of Roanoke; one daughter-in-law, Jackie Mason of Lanett; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Cordie Dobson of Roanoke.

A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Bennett was born on October 28, 1933, the daughter of Fred Marion and Emily Eunice Ward Brown. She was a member of Mount Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed Bennett; two sons, Benny Ray Mason and Mark Mason; and eight brothers and sisters.
