Rhonda Sue Jenkins, the daughter of Warren and Joyce (Peters) Jenkins, was born on June 23rd, 1950 in Hartley, Iowa, where she lived her entire life. She was baptized in the Lutheran Faith and was privileged to have volunteers come weekly to teach her about Jesus.

For many years Rhonda lived with, and was cared for by her grandparents, Emil and Stella Peters. During this time she traveled daily to Village Northwest in Sheldon. Family health problems later required her to move home with her parents. After her father's death in 1998, Rhonda continued to live with her mother. In 2007, she suffered a stroke, and has made her home at the Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley, since that time. She embraced her surroundings there, and felt secure and loved. Rhonda loved socializing in the community, and in her later years, the residents, staff and visitors of the Community Memorial Health Center became her circle of socialization. She passed away there on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at the age of 60.

She is survived by her mother Joyce of Hartley, her brother Rodney Jenkins, his wife Marsha and their son Nathan of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and one sister, Karen Weinzierl, of Boulder, Colorado; her aunts, Marilyn Peters of Hartley, Bernice Peters of Paullina, Iowa, and Lillian Jenkins of Spencer, Iowa; a host of other relatives and friends that cared for her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, her grandparents, and three uncles, Dale "Buzz" Peters, Darrell Peters, and Louis Jenkins.
